Oleksandriya club officials have revealed two new kit designs just hours before their crucial Conference League qualifier against Serbian side "Partizan". The Ukrainian vice-champions shared images of their fresh uniforms through social media channels, preparing fans for their European campaign.
"We wanted to maintain our traditional colors while giving players the best comfort for these important European matches," – a club representative explained.
The main home kit features the team's signature yellow color, which has become synonymous with the club from Kirovohrad Oblast. Meanwhile, goalkeepers will be dressed in green jerseys. For away matches, the team will sport black outfits, with their shot-stoppers wearing blue.
By the way, this European journey starts from the second qualification round for the Ukrainian side. Rather unusual situation – their "home" match will actually take place in Katowice, Poland, due to the ongoing situation in Ukraine.
The first leg kicks off today, July 24, at 20:00 local time. "Oleksandriya" enters the competition as Ukraine's vice-champions, having earned their European spot through impressive domestic performances last season.
Can the yellow-blacks overcome the experienced Serbian opposition in this first test? The match in Poland will give us the first clues about their European prospects.
