Oleksandr Usyk visited wounded Ukrainian defenders at a Dnipro hospital, bringing personal support to those recovering from battlefield injuries. The undisputed heavyweight boxing champion spent quality time with the soldiers, wished them speedy recovery, posed for photos, and left autographs for his admirers.

"He became a great champion, but behaves as equal among equals. With sincere respect for the wounded Heroes. Hundreds were waiting just for photos and autographs, but they also received genuine Ukrainian love," – wrote Serhiy Ryzhenko, the General Director of the Mechnikov Regional Clinical Hospital, who shared details about the visit on Facebook.

Ryzhenko emphasized that Usyk's greatness stems not only from his sporting achievements but also from his humble approach to communication. The boxing star showed no trace of celebrity attitude despite his worldwide fame.

By the way, this isn't Usyk's first demonstration of patriotic support. Recently, he addressed young Ukrainians regarding threats from Russian special services, pointing out that occupiers are waging both physical and hybrid warfare, attempting to recruit Ukrainians through various intimidation tactics.

The champion has also taken a firm stance on territorial integrity. He previously criticized politicians suggesting that Ukraine should make territorial concessions to end the conflict—a position he clearly rejects.

Worth remembering that on July 19, Usyk knocked out Daniel Dubois in the fifth round of their rematch at London's "Wembley" Stadium. The 38-year-old champion successfully defended his WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBO titles against the 27-year-old IBF titleholder, extending his undefeated record to 24-0 with 15 knockouts.

Ukraine's Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, personally congratulated the Crimean boxer on his impressive victory. How many more ways will Usyk find to support his countrymen while continuing his dominance in the ring?
