Orkun Kokcu has shared his thoughts on the upcoming Europa League qualification match against Ukrainian side "Shakhtar" Donetsk. The Besiktas midfielder is preparing for what he expects to be a challenging first leg in the second qualifying round.

"We're expecting a difficult match. 'Shakhtar' is a strong team. Their coach is Arda Turan. We know how his teams play. There will be a good atmosphere and a good match," – Kokcu told the club's press service.

The Turkish international emphasized that preparation has been thorough ahead of this crucial European fixture. Besiktas players are hoping their supporters will create an intimidating atmosphere at the stadium, something that could give them an edge in the two-legged tie.

"We're eagerly waiting for our fans at the match. We've prepared well. We want to get a good result," – he added.

Interestingly, Kokcu seems particularly focused on securing an advantage before the return leg in Ukraine. The midfielder made it clear that the team's goal is to put themselves in a strong position for the second match.

"We also hope to approach the next match with an advantage. I can't wait for the game. I believe our fans will come and fill the stadium," he concluded.

The match between "Besiktas" and "Shakhtar" kicks off today, July 24, at 21:00 Kyiv time. Will the Turkish side manage to secure the home advantage they're clearly hoping for?
