Oleksandr Shevkovskyi watched his Dynamo Kyiv team struggle to break down second-division Romanian side Corvinul in a preseason friendly that ended in a goalless draw. The Ukrainian giants dominated possession but lacked the finishing touch during their fifth warmup match at their Austrian training camp.

"We created enough chances to win the game, but sometimes football is like that - you control everything except the scoreline," a disappointed Shevkovskyi might have reflected after the match.

Despite having the upper hand throughout, "Dynamo" couldn't convert their opportunities into goals. Their best chance in the first half came when Torres struck the crossbar with a long-range effort. After the break, Popov narrowly missed the post with his attempt, while Voloshyn failed to beat the goalkeeper when through on goal from a tight angle.

The match took an unfortunate turn in the closing stages when Tymchyk received a red card for a rough tackle, forcing Kyiv to finish the game with ten men. Not ideal preparation, is it?

By the way, this was the fifth test match for Dynamo during their summer camp, with varying results so far. The team seems to be working on their tactical shape, though their finishing clearly needs some polishing.

The Kyiv club will continue their preseason schedule with another friendly on July 16, when they'll face Croatian side "Osijek". Can they find their scoring boots by then? The coaching staff certainly hopes so.
