Oleksandr Shovkovskyi has selected a confident starting lineup for "Dynamo" Kyiv's second leg match against Maltese side "Hamrun Spartans" in the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round. The match will take place in Lublin, with the Ukrainian side carrying a commanding 3-0 advantage from the first leg.
"With our three-goal cushion, we're approaching this match with the same seriousness as the first leg," a confident Shovkovskyi might say before the crucial encounter.
Karavayev, Bilovar, and Vivcharenko have been included in the defensive line, while Brazhko and Shaparenko will operate in midfield. Voloshyn takes his position on the right side of attack as the Kyiv team looks to finish the job they started in the first match.
Interestingly, Hamrun's coach Giacomo Modica has deployed Mihana and Garcia in midfield from the first minutes, hoping to overturn the significant deficit.
The full Dynamo Kyiv lineup includes: Neshcheret in goal; Karavayev, Bilovar, Mykhavko, and Vivcharenko in defense; Brazhko, Pikhalionok, and Shaparenko in midfield; with Voloshyn, Vanat, and Kabayev forming the attacking trio.
Dynamo's bench appears strong with veteran Yarmolenko among the substitutes, alongside Morhun, D. Popov, Yatsyk, Tymchyk, Supriaha, Zakharchenko, Guerrero, Dubinchak, Braharu, Mykhailenko, and Ponomarenko.
"Hamrun Spartans" will field: Bonello; Compri, Bjelicic, Polito, Camenzuli; Mbong, Cajenovic, Garcia, Mihana; Shimkus; and Cofie.
Can the Maltese side produce a miracle comeback, or will Dynamo comfortably secure their passage to the next qualification round? The answer awaits in Lublin.
