Jesús Santiago Pérez, widely known as Yellu, has signed with Italian side "Hellas Verona FC" on a free transfer, with his contract running until June 30, 2028. The 21-year-old Spanish midfielder makes the move to Serie A after his stint with "Getafe CF" in LaLiga.

"The club gives a warm welcome to Yellu and wishes him a future full of personal and professional satisfaction wearing the club's jersey," announced "Hellas Verona" through their official social media channels.

The Cartagena-born player developed through "Valencia CF's" youth system before making his LaLiga debut against "Villarreal" on April 19, 2022, when he was just 17 years old. He later featured in 41 matches for Valencia's B team in Segunda Federación between 2022 and 2023, finding the net once during that period.

Yellu's career took a step forward when he joined "Getafe CF" in January 2024. During his time there, he appeared in 14 matches in the 2023/24 season and notched his first LaLiga goal on April 16, 2024, scoring the winner in a 1-0 victory against "Girona". By the way, he went on to play 24 more games across all competitions last season, including both league fixtures and Copa del Rey matches.

The youngster has also represented Spain at youth level, earning two caps for the Under-18 national team during the 2021/22 season.

This move to Italy marks Yellu's first experience outside of Spanish football. Will the talented midfielder adapt quickly to the tactical demands of Serie A? Only time will tell, but "Hellas Verona" clearly sees potential in the Spanish prospect.
