Taras Myhavko shared his thoughts after "Dynamo" Kyiv defeated Maltese side "Hamrun" in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round.

"It's always nice to win, especially without conceding in both matches. But of course, there's still work to do because we'll face a much stronger opponent in the next round. We know this and will prepare accordingly," the central defender stated.

Myhavko acknowledged that the team isn't yet at full capacity following their pre-season training camp but emphasized their determination to reach the Champions League group stage. The defender was particularly pleased with keeping a clean sheet, though he pointed out some areas needing improvement.

"We gave the opponents a bit more space after going 3-0 up. The scoreline probably affected our intensity, and we might have relaxed toward the end," he explained.

The Ukrainian international also expressed gratitude to the fans who attended the match. "We've missed our supporters. Their backing, regardless of numbers, plays a huge role for us. We feel their support and are truly grateful."

Interestingly, Myhavko took a moment to thank the Ukrainian Armed Forces, saying they're the ones making it possible for the team to compete in European competitions.

"I want to thank our Armed Forces who protect us and give us the opportunity to play in Europe. We'll do everything to make all of Ukraine and 'Dynamo' fans happy by qualifying for the Champions League and reclaiming the championship in Ukraine," he promised.

The defender also scored in the match but emphasized that team success matters more than personal achievements. "It's a dream and great honor to score for 'Dynamo.' But if I hadn't scored, it wouldn't matter – the main thing is the team won."

"Dynamo" Kyiv will now focus on their Ukrainian Premier League opener against Rivne while awaiting their next Champions League opponent, which will be determined from the Paphos versus Maccabi Tel-Aviv fixture.

Can the Kyiv club maintain this momentum as they push toward the Champions League group stage? Their defensive solidity certainly gives them a strong foundation to build upon.
