Nazar Voloshyn contributed a goal and an assist in "Dynamo Kyiv's" 3-0 victory over Maltese side "Hamrun" in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League second qualifying round tie.

"Right now everyone has only positive emotions. We won, played well, and scored three goals. The result is good, you could say everyone is satisfied," Voloshyn stated after the match.

The Ukrainian forward was instrumental in his team's commanding performance, crediting their strong showing to intensive pre-season preparation. "This result is the outcome of our pre-season work. We worked hard, ran a lot, and focused extensively on tactics – it bore fruit and we won," he explained.

Voloshyn described the sequence leading to his assist, which involved teammate Buialskyi. "During the assist, Buialskyi was trying to pass behind my back, but it didn't quite work out. The ball took a while to reach me, I waited and passed it back to him on the run. He controlled it and scored – that's it."

His own goal came from following a striker's instinct. "You always need to run to the far post, and you'll definitely score. Today it worked out exactly that way," the forward remarked.

Interestingly, Voloshyn expressed surprise at the number of Ukrainian supporters who made the journey to Malta. "It's very pleasant when our fans support us even in such an exotic country as Malta. Their support really motivates us. Honestly, I definitely didn't expect there would be so many of our fans today."

Despite the comfortable first-leg advantage, Voloshyn remains cautious about the return match scheduled for July 29. "We'll feel more confident now, but the return match will still start at 0-0, and we'll try to win again."

Can "Dynamo Kyiv" maintain their momentum and secure passage to the next qualifying round? Their three-goal cushion certainly puts them in a strong position ahead of the second leg.
