FSV Mainz 05 is a German professional football club founded in 1905 and based in Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate. The club reached the Bundesliga for the first time in 2003-04 under manager Jürgen Klopp. Previously, Mainz played at Bruchwegstadion from 1928 until moving to their current stadium in 2011. Beyond football, the club also has handball and table tennis departments.
