Carl Froch has shared his candid thoughts on Deontay Wilder's boxing future, suggesting the former heavyweight champion should consider hanging up his gloves. The ex-world champion didn't mince words when assessing Wilder's recent performances in the ring.

"Wilder, does he have a future? He's lost four of his last six fights, lost twice to Fury, then he destroyed Helenius, but then lost to Parker and was demolished by Zhang," Froch stated. "At one point he had 40 fights, 39 wins, 39 knockouts. At one point, everyone he beat, he knocked out."

Froch pointed to the trilogy with Tyson Fury as a turning point in Wilder's career, noting how those battles seemed to take something fundamental from the American boxer. Despite acknowledging Wilder's financial success, Froch believes the time has come for the hard-hitting heavyweight to consider retirement.

The former champion recalled Wilder's impressive knockout streak - a period when virtually every opponent faced the canvas. But that seems like ancient history now.

"I don't like telling people to retire... I think Wilder's time has ended, he could get hurt now," Froch added with evident concern.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time Froch has offered frank commentary on heavyweight boxers. He recently also shared his thoughts on Daniel Dubois following his rematch defeat against Oleksandr Usyk.

Should Wilder listen to this advice from a fellow champion? With his recent string of defeats, the question of retirement certainly seems legitimate for the once-feared knockout artist.
