Players from Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia prepare to defend their European crown as the CEV Champions League Volley 2025 draw approaches. The official pool allocation ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, July 15 at 12:00 CEST in Luxembourg, setting the stage for another season of elite continental volleyball competition.
"Everyone's watching the calendar now. The draw determines our path to potentially repeat as champions, and we're ready for any opponent," a representative from the Italian powerhouse might say ahead of the crucial event.
The women's tournament promises exceptional talent across the board with 20 clubs battling through the 4th round. Former champions including "Conegliano", "VakifBank", and "Scandicci" headline the competition, while wildcard entries Igor Gorgonzola Novara and Ankara Zeren Spor Kulübü add extra flavor to an already stacked field. Italian, Turkish, Polish, and German representatives will all be looking to make their mark on the court.
Interestingly, the men's side features equally impressive firepower. Beyond the defending champions, volleyball fans will follow Trentino Itas, Bogdanka LUK Lublin, and Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie throughout the tournament. The competition also welcomes wildcard entrants "Halkbank Ankara", "Asseco Resovia Rzeszów", and "Montpellier HSC VB" to the mix.
Two remaining men's tournament spots hang in the balance, awaiting September's qualification results to complete the lineup. Not a bad way to add some late drama before the main event begins, right?
With the draw ceremony just days away, Europe's volleyball community can barely contain its excitement for what looks to be another thrilling season at the continent's highest club level. Who will emerge from the group stage? Which powerhouse might stumble early? The answers begin taking shape next Tuesday in Luxembourg.
