George Groves has expressed his admiration for Ukrainian boxers, highlighting their exceptional discipline and unique mentality. The former world middleweight champion shared his thoughts after Oleksandr Usyk's (24-0, 15 KOs) victory over Daniel Dubois (22-3, 21 KOs), stating that Ukrainian fighters possess a special mindset.

"Ukrainians have a slightly different way of thinking, don't they? I think Klitschko had great discipline, and Usyk is certainly the same. There was a rule for some time that you didn't necessarily have to live and breathe boxing from an early age. This Usyk era is almost over. Because he beat all these guys. He beat them, came back, made a new plan to win again. Do I want to see Usyk versus Fury again? No. There's no point in this fight," Groves said in an interview.

Interestingly, after defeating Dubois on July 19, Usyk mentioned that he lacks motivation to box but achieves results through discipline. The Ukrainian knocked out the British boxer in the fifth round and collected all the belts in the heavyweight division.

The fight's aftermath included various reactions from the boxing world. Boxing legend Lennox Lewis praised Usyk's performance, while Derek Chisora (36-13, 23 KOs) pointed out the main mistake made by his fellow Brit against the Ukrainian champion.

By the way, journalists revealed chaos within Dubois' team just hours before the fight, which likely contributed to his defeat. The statistics of punches landed and judges' scorecards were published after the bout, showing Usyk's dominance throughout the contest.

Usyk has now defeated all top representatives of the heavyweight division, some of them twice, becoming the undisputed champion. With such an impressive record, what's next for the Ukrainian boxing superstar? For now, it seems the disciplined approach that Groves admires continues to serve Usyk well in the ring.
