Maksim Mikhailov has extended his stay with 'Stary Lutsk' basketball club, signing a new one-year deal with the Lutsk-based team. The 21-year-old forward will continue his career in western Ukraine after joining from 'Kharkiv Falcons' last season.

"I'm very pleased to remain with this team. Lutsk offers a comfortable atmosphere and wonderful people. Basketball is truly loved here," Mikhailov commented on his re-signing.

The young player expressed enthusiasm about working under Anton Musienko's leadership, emphasizing his commitment to achieving solid results in the upcoming campaign.

Mikhailov's numbers from the 2024/2025 season weren't spectacular but showed his all-around contribution. He averaged 4.3 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, and dished out 2 assists per game while competing in the Superleague.

Interestingly, this extension suggests the 'Stary Lutsk' coaching staff sees potential for growth in the young forward despite modest statistical output. Can Mikhailov take his game to the next level under Musienko's guidance? The upcoming season will tell.
