Oleksandr Usyk has returned to his homeland after his dominant victory over Daniel Dubois on July 19 at London's legendary Wembley Stadium. The Ukrainian heavyweight's arrival was captured on social media, showing him being greeted by Serhii Lesnyk, president of YUKSA football club.
"I want to come to Ukraine, rest two or three months from boxing, be with my family, and only then will I think about the next opponent," – Usyk stated after his triumph in London.
The boxing showdown ended decisively in the fifth round when the British challenger hit the canvas following a powerful punch from Usyk. Dubois couldn't recover, giving the Ukrainian his second victory over the Brit.
This win carries special significance for Usyk, who now becomes the absolute heavyweight king. He added Dubois' IBF belt to his collection, complementing his previously held WBC, WBO, and WBA titles – completing the full set of championship belts in boxing's premier division.
Interestingly, this match was a rematch between the two fighters, with Usyk proving his superiority once again. The 24-0 (with 15 KOs) record speaks volumes about the Ukrainian's dominance in the ring.
With Usyk now planning a well-deserved break from the sport, boxing fans worldwide are left wondering: who will dare challenge the undisputed champion when he decides to return?
