Ruslan Rotan has made significant changes to his defensive line as "Polissya" Zhytomyr prepares to host "LNZ" Cherkasy in the third round of the Ukrainian Premier League at Zhytomyr's Central Stadium.

"After our 1:2 defeat against Hungarian side Paksh, we needed to strengthen our defensive options," – the coach explained before the match.

Chobotenko and Mykhailichenko will start in defense from the first minutes, while Talles and Karaman will operate in midfield. Hayduchyk and Gonsalves have been positioned up front to lead the attack for the home side.

Meanwhile, "LNZ" coach Vitaliy Ponomarov comes into the match with confidence following his team's 1:0 victory over "Epicenter" from Kamianets-Podilskyi. He's made one notable change by bringing Gorin into the center of defense.

Interestingly, both managers appear to be focusing on defensive stability while maintaining attacking options that could make this match quite competitive.

The full starting lineups show significant talent on both sides. "Polissya" will field Volynets in goal with Kravchenko, Chobotenko, Beskorovainyi, and Mykhailichenko in defense. "LNZ" counters with Ledviy between the posts and a back line featuring G. Pasich, Muravskyi, Gorin, and Kuzyk.

By the way, both teams have prepared strong benches with multiple offensive options should the initial tactical approaches need adjustment during the match.

The game kicks off at 18:00 Kyiv time. Will Rotan's defensive adjustments pay off against the confident visitors from Cherkasy?
