Andriy Storchaus scored twice to lead "Kudrivka" to a convincing 3-1 victory over "Oleksandriya" in the opening round of the 2025/26 Ukrainian Premier League season in Kyiv.

The midfielder opened the scoring in the 18th minute, giving the nominal hosts an early advantage. The teams then traded goals from set pieces before halftime, with Morozko converting a free kick for "Kudrivka" in the 37th minute, while "Oleksandriya" benefited from Yashkov's own goal in the 26th minute.

Storchaus sealed the result with his second goal in the 53rd minute, completing his brace and putting the match beyond doubt. The visitors' frustration became evident as the game progressed.

To make matters worse for "Oleksandriya", they finished the match with only nine players on the field. Kyrylo Kovalets received his marching orders in the 76th minute after picking up a second yellow card, and Miguel Ferreira Campush was sent off in the 87th minute for unsportsmanlike conduct.

By the way, both teams already know their next opponents. "Kudrivka" will travel to face "Zorya" Luhansk on August 11, while "Oleksandriya" will visit "Obolon" a day earlier.

The match featured a total of nine yellow cards, reflecting its competitive nature. Can "Kudrivka" build on this strong start to establish themselves as serious contenders this season?
